P20

Slim towing machine

Quick and safe transport processes in narrow aisles

The P20 electric tow tractor has a particularly slim design. Direct, responsive steering makes tight turns possible. As a result, the tow tractor is perfect for transport processes in narrow aisles and tight spaces. For longer journeys, the folding, height-adjustable seat takes the strain off the operator. It means that the operator can control the stand-on truck even when they are sitting down. The P20 tows a maximum load of two tonnes.

Characteristics

Safety

Although the chassis is compact and narrow, the operator is still protected while operating and always remains within the rounded confines of the truck. This is due in part to the two-handled ergonomic steering unit, which prevents wide-sweeping steering movements and also protects the hands. The tow tractor also features an automatic parking brake that prevents it from accidentally rolling. Knee protection is optionally available. There is also a different version of the P20 that comes with more ground clearance, which prevents the bottom of the truck from coming into contact with the road; for example, when the tow tractor is operating in open spaces and has to deal with uneven surfaces and/or ramps.

  • Protective chassis design
  • Two-handled steering unit design
  • Automatic parking brake
  • Optional knee protection pad

Ergonomics

When travelling over longer distances, the operator can take advantage of the folding seat design and if needed, they can fold the height-adjustable seat down and continue to operate comfortably in a seated position. The height of the steering unit can also be adjusted to make operation easier. Large storage compartments are located on top of the battery cover and under the seat. This allows the operator to have his or her tools close at hand. A low step makes it easy to get in and out of the truck.

Handling

The electric tow tractor is only 600 millimetres wide. The large steering unit makes the trucks easier to control. The construction of the front axle allows the trucks to manoeuvre tight turns. With a 1.5-kW three-phase motor, the trucks are able to accelerate to their maximum speed quickly and continuously – even when towing a load.

  • Narrow outer dimensions
  • Powerful 1.5 kW three-phase motors
  • Precise steering
  • Tight turning radius

Servicing

To check the central data of the truck, the service technician does not have to open any kind of cover: The P20 uses the CAN bus system to connect to a laptop. The technician can then precisely match the data obtained with the appropriate application. All relevant truck components can be accessed very quickly and easily. The three-phase motor is dust- and water-resistant and maintenance-free. This reduces the amount of time and energy spent on service.

  • Service check using the CAN bus interface
  • Maintenance-free three-phase motor
  • Easy access to the components

Optional Equipment

Side mirrors

The side mirrors are located on the left and right sides of the truck. This gives the operator a better view of his or her surroundings.

Tow hitch

Linde equips the tow tractors with different types of hitches, custom-fit to the carriers in the tugger train.

Ground clearance

More ground clearance prevents the bottom of the truck from coming into contact with the ground; for example, when the tow tractor is driving on very uneven surfaces.

Knee protection

The pads are located in the truck's interior and protect the knees from hard or sudden braking, for example.

Built-in charger

The charger is integrated into the truck. This allows the tow tractor's battery to charge from anywhere and saves space.

Lights

Position lights, working lights and turn signals ensure additional safety and better working conditions.

PIN access

Before the operator can start the truck, he or she must enter a PIN code. Otherwise, the truck will not start. This is to prevent improper use of the truck.
